Mission: Episode 0,1 - The Privateers
Location: SickBay
Timeline: MD02

ON:
Lt. Dr. Cuyu Reeza prepped the biobed. Today's first appointment was the CO, and she needed to make an excellent first impression. She asked the head nurse to ensure that the rest of the staff was prepped and busy, and then ensured that her own self and her uniform were clean, neat, and pressed. Of course, it always was-the small, perhaps neurotic Bajoran was always perfectly turned out. She worried too much that it would impact her career, and in turn, her ability to raise her daughter, to risk anything else.

Finally, it was time, and after the nurse had reminded her to calm down and sip some water, she was ready to meet him. She stepped into the waiting area.

"Captain, I am ready for you." She said, with a light smile. "This shouldn't take too long." She said.

"Don't worry Lieutenant. This can take as long as it needs," he spoke as he followed her into the wider sickbay area. "Lead by example, isn't that what they say?"

Reeza nodded.. "Yes, sir, that sounds right!" She said. "Hop on up," she said, indicating a biobed. She watched as the machine started up, spitting data at her at a rapid speed. "Anything I should know before we get started? Any chronic or long-term health problems? Any recent injuries?" She asked. Knowing that would give her a jumping-off point. "How are you finding it so far? Command, I mean." She could offer him a session with the Counselor, as well, if he was overly stressed or unsure. He seemed calm, though, to her.

The Captain nodded as he sat up on the bio-bed, in order to let the Doctor perform her checks. "No, nothing to note health wise. I've always managed to remain healthy and never had any serious injuries."

He nodded to a young Ensign in a Medical uniform who happened to be walking by them. He didn't recognise the face, and noted that they must have come onboard during their layover at Earhart. "As for Command Doctor. I've been doing this job for the better part of a decade now, most of it onboard this very ship. I've never had such a large crew turnover in one go before however. I must take the time to get to know all the new faces."

The Doctor smiled lightly, and nodded. "I know, sir, I read your file. I meant more or less, do you find it stressful often? Or only occasionally? We can work on some stress fighting tools, if you'd like," she said. "Turnover en masse happens sometimes, particularly when new Cadets graduate. I remember my first posting out of the Academy; we lost fifty people on our first Shore Leave, three months into the tour. Command restructuring and things. I wouldn't worry," she said. "So far, everything looks good. What do you do for fitness?" She asked.
